As of today, the organization has ninety local member associations in a salmon rivers; representing practically every important salmon river in the country, from the mighty Tana River and Alta Rivers in the north to the Mandal and Otra Rivers in the very south. Norwegian Salmon Rivers represents 7000 individual river owners in a number of national committees and councils. In 2001 the catch in these river constituted 75 % of the salmon and 48 % of the Sea trout/Sea char caught in Norwegian rivers.
