Cost of housing is soaring in Oslo

So far this year the average price of housing has risen by 16.3 percent , according to figures that were presented monday this week .

In some districts , the increase was 18 percent. Property Norway believe house prices will reach a growth of over 10 percent at the end of the year and predicts continued growth next year. Figures from Broker industry statistics this week indicates that prices rose by 2.8 percent from July to August , 1.1 percent seasonally adjusted . This is unursually strong. Low mortgage rates is an important driving factor behind the strong increase, in combination with the imbalance between supply and demand.
