The Setesdalsline is one of the greatest tourist attractions in the Southern part of Norway

The Setesdalsline was open on the 25th.November in 1896 by the Prime Minister Hagerup. The line extended from Kristiansand to Byglandsfjord a distance of 78,4 kilometres During the railway closures of the 60s, the decision was made to close down the line. The last train left Byglandsfjord station in the afternoon of the 2nd.September 1962.
