Slight increase in unemployment

There was a 0.2 per cent increase in uneployment in Norway from January to April, and the unemployment rate rose to 4.2 per cent in the period, Statistics Norway (SSB) reports.

SSB says the changes are in line with a gradually weaker labour market. The increase is within the error margein, but still in line with an increasing trend since May 2014.

In April, the employment rate was 68.1 per cent, down 0.4 percentage points from January.
