NOK 466 billion in assessed taxes
In 2015, the total assessed taxes amounted to NOK 466 billion for residents aged 17 years and older. This was an increase of 7.4 per cent from 2013.
Higher electricity prices for households
The average price of electricity for households in the third quarter of 2016, excluding taxes and grid rent, was 30.5 øre per kWh. This is 53 per cent higher compared to the same quarter in 2015, which was a quarter with very low prices.
More Polish emigrated than immigrated
On 1 October, the population reached 5 252 200, growing by 15 300 during the third quarter. The emigration, with 11 200 is still high, and the figure was highest for Poles. Among those who immigrated, the majority were Syrians.
Decrease in outward settlement flows
Outward bank settlement flows decreased from the second quarter of 2016 to the third quarter of 2016.
Fewer unemployed, but more on labour market schemes
Registered unemployment among immigrants decreased from 7.5 per cent in August 2015 to 7.2 per cent in August 2016, while the unemployment rate was stable at 2.3 per cent within the rest of the population. In the whole population, the unemployment rate was 3.1 per cent in August 2016.
