Cross Country: Steira wins silver for Norway

Kristin Stoermer Steira secured silver for Norway in the women's pursuit 7.5 km classic + 7.5 km free race at the Nordic World Championships in Liberec on Saturday. Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland won gold.

2010 Olympics: Silver and Bronze for Norway

Axel Lund Svindal raced down the Whistler downhill slopes to win the first silver medal for Norway in the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver on Monday. Marit Bjørgen won cross country 10km bronze.

Norway's Marit Bjoergen claimed the women's World Cup 2x5km pursuit in Falun, Sweden on Saturday, to secure a second place finish in the overall World Cup distance standings. Petter Northug won the men's 20km.
