Women's Football: Norway - Ghana 7-2 Norway cruised through to the World Cup quarter finals after crushing Ghana 7-2 in Hangzhou on Thursday. Ragnhild Gulbrandsen(photo) scored three.
Lene Storloekken and Ragnhild Gulbrandsen gave Norway the control of the match before Ane Stangeland Horpestad's penalty made it 3-0 at half time.
Isabell Herlovsen gave Norway a fourth before two headers in three minutes saw Gulbrandsen complete her hat-trick. Lise Klaveness made it 7-0, but then a controversial free-kick by Adjoa Bayor and an equally controversial penalty by Florence Oko gave Ghana some comfort. The result on Thursday also secures Norway's women a ticket to next year's Olympic Games in Beijing. (NRK) Rolleiv Solholm Related ArticlesSwimming: Buttervfly bronze for Snildal
