Widerøe contracts worth NOK 380 million

The Norwegian domestic airline Widerøe, part of the SAS Group, has been granted contracts for 13 of the 18 regional destinations in Norway which have been up for bid.

The contracts are for five years for destinations in Norway's four most northerly counties, while the contracts for destinations south of Trondheim are for four years.

The contracts mean that Widerøe has a monopoly on passenger traffic on the destinations for which they have been granted licence.

The Danish airline Danish Air Transport (DAT) has received contracts for four regional destinations in Norway.
