This has in turn resulted in delayed or cancelled international flights to and from Norway. At Oslo International Airport Gardermoen, several flights to London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Brussels and Århus, Denmark were already cancelled Tuesday morning, and many other flights were delayed. Flights between Stavanger and London have also been cancelled. More snow was expected over continetal Europe and the UK on Tuesday. (NRK)

While domestic air travel in Norway is still near normal, major airfields throughout Europe are struggling with cancelled and delayed flights, and terminals crowded with frustrated travellers trying to get home for Christmas.
Consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.6 per cent from July to August 2011, mainly due to price falls in food and airline fares. From August 2010 to August 2011the CPI rose by 1.3 per cent.
