The Utøya Camp was Behring Breivik's Plan B

Terrorist charged Anders Behring Breivik had designed his bomb to completely destroy the Government central office building on July 22nd. When the building did not collapse, he decided to attack the Utøya youth camp.

Breivik had planned to park the van with the bomb close to the main pillars, but was prevented from doing this by parked cars. When he heard on the car radio that the building had not collapsed, he headed for Utøya.

Breivik has revealed this during police questioning right after he was apprehended at Utøya, the newspaper VG writes. He was held at the camp for questioning for ten hours, before he was transferred to police custody on the mainland.

- For us it was important to gain as much information as possible at an early stage, to determine whether or not there were further terrorist acts planned, says Einar Aas, head of the section for organised crime of the Oslo Police, to VG.

A total of 77 people were killed in the bomb attack on the Government office building and the massacre at the Utøya Labour Party youth camp.
