The US lifts punitive duty on Norwegian salmon

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) has decided to lift its 20-year old punitive duty on the import of fresh whole Norwegian salmon.

The 24% duty on whole Norwegian salmon was introduced in 1991, when the US alleged that Norwegian subsidies to the aqua farming industry was distorting competition.
