The Treholt spy-case to be reviewed
The Commission states that it made its decision, based on the recent claims made in the media that illegal methods were used in the police investigations against Treholt. - We will not examine evidence, or consider the question of guilt. We will examine the methods used by the investigators, says leader of the Commission, Helga Hernes. (NRK/Aftenposten)

The Norwegian Criminal Cases Review Commission (Gjenopptagelseskommisjonen) has decided that there are grounds for a review of the spy case against former diplomat Arne Treholt.
Ketil Lund, head of the Lund Commission, which in the 1990s investigated the methods used by Norway's Secret Service, now confirms that Arne Treholt's apartment was kept under video surveillance.
