Terrorist threats against Norwegian missions abroad

Several Norwegian embassies, institutions and other missions representing Norway abroad have received threats of terrorism, the newspaper Aftenposten writes on Saturday.

The paper says right-wing extremists are in this way trying to attract more attention.

The threats have been put forward both written and orally, following all the publicity in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Norway on July 22nd.

The threats have led to tighter security, and a number of the incidents are now under investigation in the various countries, the newspaper writes.

The Norwegian security police (PST) says each threat is considered seriously.
