Surveillance of Treholt apartment confirmed
The Lund Commission was informed of this during its investiagtions, and has chosen to make this statement, following recent claims by various sources that some of the evidence in the Treholt spy-case had been fabricated. The Commission has thereby confirmed a claim by a former police investigator, in an interview with Aftenposten, that Treholt's apartment was under constant video surveillance for more than a year, up to his arrest. Justice Minister Knut Storberget now wants to know why the surveillance of the apartment was not made known earlier. - I know the Lund Commission in its report describes other illegal investigation methods, making this a relevant question, Storberget says.
