Sentenced in Congo - may serve in Norway

The Congolese authorities are in favour of allowing the two Norwegians sentenced to death by a Congo military tribunal last fall, to serve their sentence in a Norwegian prison, NRK reports.

NRK quotes special envoy from the Norwegian Department of Foreign Affairs, Arild Øyen, who has met with Congolese Justice Minister Emmanuel-Janvier Luzolo.

In Øyen's opinion it is important that the Congolese authorities in this way have confirmed that they agree to the two men serving their sentence in Norway.
