Search for man missing in the North Sea
The search party on board, which included a dog, was unsuccessful in finding the man, and was ended on Friday afternoon. On Friday the search on the sea surface continued until dusk, using both vessels and a helicopter. On Saturday a vessel with a ROV continued the search, focusing on the seabed. The man was reported missing after he had failed to show up for work in the morning. Both boats and helicopters have participated in the search after the man was reported missing. "The situation has affected everyone in the company, and my thoughts go out to the relatives and colleagues of the missing man, on the platform and in Beerenberg,” says Hans Jakob Hegge, senior vice president, operations on the Norwegian continental shelf.
