Punished for illegal dumping of fish

The Norwegian fisheries authorities will punish Aker Seafoods, which is controlled by investor Kjell Inge Røkke, for illegal dumping of fish.

In the worst case, the trawler Hekktind could lose its licence to fish for a whole year, according to the newspaper Fiskaren.

This would in case be the strongest punishment ever meeted out to a Norwegian fishing vessel.

The Fisheries Directorate have already announced that the licences will be temprarily  withheld.
