Prime Minister to visit President Obama

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg has been invited to visit President Barack Obama at the White House on October the 20th. The two will have bilateral talks on several isssues.

High on the agends will be the situation in Afghanistan, the global financial crisis, as well as the High North policy.

Stoltenberg says Norway and the US are close allies who cooperate closely on a number of issues, and that he therefore looks forward to meet the US President.

According to a White House press release, President Obama looks forward to thank Prime Minister Stoltenberg personally for Norway's important contribution to the NATO mission in Libya.
