Increased oil production for October

In October there was an average daily production of about 2 022 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate on the Norwegian Shelf, an increase of 107 000 barrels compared to September.

This was shown by preliminary figures from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

Gas production was about 8.2 billion Sm3, which is 0.7 billion Sm3 more than the previous month.

The Following fields had reduced production in October, Gjøa due to planned maintenance, Grane due to problems with the gas injection compressor and Njord, Tordis, Visund and Volve due to technical problems. Still, total oil production is somewhat higher than the NPD’s prognosis for the year to date.
