DR Congo may release convicted Norwegians
However, first Tjostolv Moland and Joshua French must reach an agreement with the driver's widow for a financial compensation. Norwegian newspaper VG reported Friday morning that the widow is demanding USD 3 million(NOK 18 mill) in compensation. She says the funds will help secure the future for her chldren. A Norwegian delegation is now in Kinshasa, negotiating with the DR Congo authorities for an agreement which would make it possible for the two to serve a life sentence in Norway.
