19 nations boycott the Peace Prize ceremony
In addition to China, these nations have been invited but have declined: Russia, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Tunisia, Saudi-Arabia, Pakistan, Serbia, Iraq, Iran, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Venezuela, the Philippines, Egypt, Sudan, Ukraine, Cuba and Morocco. This means that two thirds of the nations invited will be present at the ceremony. China announced Tuesday morning that they were supported by 100 nations in the boycott.
