The poll was taken in the period from when illegal alien Maria Amelie was detained by the police and up to Monday of this week, according to Dagens Næringsliv.
While SV drops, prime minister Jens Stoltenberg's Labour Party (AP) is up by 1.9 points, and is now the nation's largest party, supported by 28.8 per cent of the electorate, ahead of both the Conservatives (Høyre) and the right wing Progress Party (FrP).
Høyre is up 1.9 points, to 25.9 per cent, while FrP drops by 2.9 points to 23.7 per cent.
The Liberal Left (Venstre) is supported by 6.3 per cent, a gain by 1.8 points from the previous poll.
