Norwegian ebola victim improving

The Norwegian health worker who was brought home after being infected by the ebola virus while working in Sierra Leone, is showing signs of improving, according to a statement by the Health Directorate.

The patient is being cared for by a team of 25 at the Ullevål Hospital in Oslo, 23 specialist nurses and two doctors, Aftenposten reports.

So far 160 Norwegian have volounteered to go to West Africa to join the fight against ebola, following an appeal by the Norwegian Health Directorate. The plan is to cooperate with Great Britain in setting up treatment facilities in the ebola-stricken areas.
