Norway international John Carew scored three goals for his new club when Lyon beat Auxerre 4-1 in the French supercup final on Wednesday.
Carew was also awarded the penalty when Lyon took the 1-0 lead, scored by Hatem Arfa.
The French series starts coming weekend, and Lyon will meet Le Mans away on Sunday.
