UT.no : Get out - and enjoy nature !

 

UT.no is  a cooperation between The Norwegian Tourist Association and NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation). The site offers excellent tools for your outdoor activities. Plan your trip, search maps, get tips, read comments and more. Google is responsible for the translations.

 

The site was launched in October 2009 and was among 5 Norwegian websites nominated for the World Summit Award. The objective of the site is to inspire people to actively engage in outdoor activities.

The site offers thousands of suggestions for hiking trips, short or long, in the wilderness or in urban areas. It is free, without advertising, and to a large extent user generated.

The portal mixes editorial and user generated content created by videos, images, maps in a useful live service for all hikers, and tourists looking for adventures in Norwegian nature.
