Rifle shooting: World record, gold and silver for Norway

Espen Berg-Knutsen set a new world record and won gold for Norway in the ISSF World Shooting Champonships, 300 m rifle 3 positions men, individual competition in Zagreb, Croatia on Thursday. Vebjoern Berg won silver for Norway. Berg-Knutsen's new world record is 1181 points with the 120 shots. A few minites earlier, Norway's Vebjoern Berg had equaled the previous world record, and won silver.  Mario Knogler, Austria won Bronze.

Norway also set a new world record and won gold in the team competition, with 3517 points. Austria's team won silver, Sweden bronze.

Tore Brovold won bronze in the skeet shooting Thursday, with 147 hits, the same as the silver winner, Russia's Valerij Tsjomin.
