Search parties were waiting to resume the search in the county of Troms Wednesday morning for three men missing and presumed dead in an avalanche on the island of Senja Tuesday afternoon.
However, bad weather and risk of new avalanches made it necessary to postpone the search.
The three were on a snow scooter trip in the Tromdalen Valley, and search parties have observed scooter tracks going into the spot where the avalanche hit.
Late Tuesday evening they also found a helmet and one snow scooter, but the search had to be called off due to bad weather and poor visibility and the danger to the search parties of new avalanches.
