Winter holiday begins

altIn most of Norway, schools are closed this coming week for the winteer break. Many Norwegian families will head up to their cottage this weekend, to enjoy the peak of the skiing season.

According to forecasts, Eastern Norway will be the best place to be for skiing, but in the mountains of Western Norway, conditions will also be near perfect.

As one moves north, the weather becomes increasinbgly unstable, with strong winds, sleet and rain.

Many Norwegians have already safeguarded and have headed for sunnier shores.
