In 2011, elections are held to municipal and county councils in Norway. The Election Day is Monday 12 September. However, in 195 municipalities, elections are also held today, Sunday.
The Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees (Fagforbundet) is spending NOK 16 million on supporting the election campaign of the red/green coalition parties.
