Health information goes digitalThe Government is allocating an extra NOK 70 million to be spent on making the exchange of medical information about patients, between doctors and hospitals faster and safer.
Many hospitals are still exchanging case sheets and x-rays via fax, mail and taxi, but Health Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (photo) is now promising that all such exchange will become digital before the end on next year. He also wants all municipalities connected to the digital HealthNet (Helsenett) at the same rate. (NRK)
