In 2011, elections are held to municipal and county councils in Norway. The Election Day is Monday 12 September. However, in 195 municipalities, elections are also held today, Sunday.
All electors are sent a polling card by post from their municipal authority. On the polling card you will find information about polling hours and which polling station you must use on Election Day.
A record number have voted in advance this year. In Oslo, 22,000 haave chosen to vote in advance. This is twice as many as at the municipal elections four years ago.
