Progress Party hit by sex scandal

FrP drops 4.7 percentage points on the March poll, and is now supported by 20.8 per cent of the electorate.

The poll was made after the news broke that FrP's candidate for Stavanger mayor and also  adviser to the party leadership, had been arrested for alleged sexual misconduct, including secretly filming a naked young man.

The charges were later expanded to include sexual relations with a minor.

FrP leader Siv Jensen said she was disappointed and saddened by the news.

Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg's Labour Party also dropped on the March poll, down 1.3 ponts to 27.8 per cent. Coalition partners Socialist Left ) are up by 1.0 point to 6.4 per cent and Agrarians (Senterpartiet) up 0.8 to 5.2 per cent.

The opposition Conservative Party (Høyre) drops a marginally 0.3 points, to 25.8 per cent.

There were also slight gains for the Christian Democrats (KrF) and the Liberal Left (Venstre).
