Both the Progress Party (FrP) and the Conservative Party (Høyre) are larger than Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg's Labour Party (AP) on Norstat's last poll before Christmas, made for Vårt Land.
Together, FrP and Høyre have the support of 54.4 per cent of the electorate, and would have occupied 97 of the 169 seats in Parliament (Stortinget).
Høyre is by far the largest party, with the support of 28.6 per cent of the voters, up 0.5 percentage point from the previous poll.
FrP is supported by 25.8 per cent, up 4.2 points, and also larger than Labour, which is supported by 25.6 per cent, a drop by 1.9 points from November.
Labour's coalition partners, the Center Party (SP) and the Socialist Left Party (SV) also drop on the December poll to 5.3 (-0.4) and 5 per cent (-0.6) respectively.
The Christian Democrats (KrF) is up 0.2 points, to 4.6, while the Liberal Left (V) drops 0.4 points to 5.3 per cent.
