Crown Princess Mette-Marit celebrates her 40th birthday

altNorway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit is today, Monday, celebrating her 40th birthday.

 

The celebrations began on Sunday, when she had invited to an open air service for invited guests in the Queen's Park by the Royal Palace in Oslo. The service was conducted by former bishop Gunnar Stålsett.

Ever since 2001, the Crown Princess has marked her birthday by inviting to a service at the Royal Palace chapel on the Sunday closest to the Day. This was the first open air service. 

It was a visible moved Crown Princess who received warm words and congratulations from her Parents In-Law, King Harald and Queen Sonja at the end of the service.
