Norwegian woman reported rape - was jailed

In Dubai, a Norwegian woman (25) reported to the police that he had been raped, but was herself sentenced to 16 months in prison for alleged extramarital sex.

 

The Norwegian Department of Foreign Affairs confirms to NRK that they are informed about the case.

The woman has since March been staying at the Norwegian Seamen's Church in Dubai, where she has also received judicial assistance.
