Media strike avoided

A strike by near 800 employes at the Norwegian Public Broadcaster (NRK) was avoided, when the two sides reached an agreement in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The agreement was reached three hours on overtime, and means an average salary increase of NOK 16-17,000, with a minimum increase of 2.6 per cent.

A strike would haave affected NRK's radio and TV broadcasts already Tuesday morning.
