Wintry weather returns to mountain regions

altEarly Wednesday morning, wintry weather caused severe problems for motorists trying to use the main roads crossing the mountains from east to west in the county of Sogn og Fjordane.

Most of the main crossings were closed altogether.

The Filefjell and Strynefjell crossings were still open, but visibility was poor, due to driving snow.

Hemsedalsfjellet was closed, but was re-opened for cars driving in convoys,

Between Tyin and Årdal the road was closed due to danger of rockslides.
