Demands stricter arms control

eskhildpedersenHead of the Labour Party Youth Branch (AUF), Eskil Pedersen, is asking that the Labour Party's National Congress adopt a ban on the sale of semi-automatic weapons in Norway.

In Pedersen's opinion, political Norway has failed when it comes to control with dangerous weapons, following the July 22nd 2011 terror attacks, both from the Government side and from other political parties.

He also wants the Labour Party (AP) to adopt better systems for the registration of arms.

AP deputy leader Helga Pedersen says she agrees with Eskil Pedersen that the arms control laws must be tightened.
