Cyber attack against Telenor leadership

altCyber spies have allegedly attacked the personal computers of several top leaders of the Norwegian Telenor Group, and copied all the contents, including passwords and personal data.

- This is a clear example of intentional  industrial espionage, says Telenor security director Rune Dyrlie to the newspaper Aftenposten, which carried the story on Sunday.

The cyber attacks were discovered when the Telenor Security Center registered unusual internet activity on the leadership's computers. The traffic was linked to several IP addresses in a number of various countries.

For the first time, Telenor has reported the cyber attack to the National Crime Investigation Authority (KRIPOS).

Telenor has also reported the incidents to the National Security Authority and to Cyber Defence, Aftenposten writes.
