Norwegian industry reduce emissions

Norwegian industry has reduced emissions by 35 per cent over the past 20 years, mainly through the development and use of new technology.

- The development of new technology is the main reason why emissions have been reduced considerably, says Director Audun Rosland of the Climate and Research Directorate to the financial newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.

On the other hand, since 1990, emissions from the oil and gas industry have increased by 78 per cent, according to the paper.
