Cross country: Bjørgen in foto-finish second

alt Norway's Marit Bjørgen was second in a last leg photo-finish of the classic sprint with USA's Kikkan Randall at Lahti, Finland on Saturday. Slovakia's Alena Protsjazkova came third.

In the men's classic sprint, Norway's Ola Vigen Hattestad placed second, and team mate Finn Hågen Krogh third. Sweden's Emil Jønson pulled away from Hattestad on the last few metres to win the race.

Norway's famous 54km classic ski-touring race, Birkebeinerrennet, is arranged today, Saturday, for the 71st time, with around 17,000 participants. The race starts in Rena and finishes in Lillehammer.
