Minor gas leak at Melkøya LNG terminal

alt At Statoil's Melkøya LNG production plant in Fnnmark, 32 persons were evacuated Saturday afternoon, following a metane gas leak, caused by a pressure build-up in the cooling system.

The build-up occured when the cooling system was re-started after a two week maintenance period.

The leak was brought under control, and there are no reports of injuries.
