More aid to Syrian civil war victims

The Norwegian government has granted an additional NOK 210 million in emergency aid to assist the large number of Syrians who are victims of the civil war in their country. Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide describes the situation in Syria as precarious, and points to a great need for humanitarian aid. - Financing is crucial, he says in a press release.

Counting this year's contributions, Norway will have granted more than NOK 425 million in humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees since 2011.
