Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide says Norwegian companies should not reconsider their engagements in countries like Algeria, following the terrorist attack against the Statoil/BP gas plant.
- In the long run, the best defence is to show that one does not allow oneself to be frightened, Eide says to NRK.
In his opinion it is only right and important to be engaged globally, both for Norway as a state and for Norwegian industry.
Conservative leader Erna Solberg is also of the opinion that Norwegian industry should remain where they are, despite the danger of terrorism.
