The Conservative Party (Høyre) now has the support of 40.1 per cent of the electorate, up 5.4 points from December, according to the latest poll from Response Analyses.
If this had been the result of an election, Høyre would have had 76 seats and a majority in Parliament (Stortinget) with the support of just one non-socialist party, Aftenposten writes.
The poll shows a 2.3 point drop for the right wing Progress Party (FrP), to 10.7 pr cent.
Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg's Labour Party (Ap) drops 1.7 points, to 26.5 per cent.
