Nearly 200 pasengers had to be evcuated from three different trains, stuck in snowdrifts on Jæren, south of Stavanger late Sunday evening.
The blizzard-like weather made it difficult to evacuate the passengers, who had to wait for several hours before they were brought out. It was Monday morning unclear when train services in the district would resume.
Power lines in the area were also brought down by the fierce storm, and many households were without electricity for a couple of hours, NRK reports.
Trees were blown down and roofs blown off, but there were no reports of injuries.
