Hollywood duo will host the Peace Prize concert

Actors Gerard Butler (43) and Sarah Jessica Parker (47) will host this year's Peace Prize Concert in Oslo on December 11.

"It's a pleasure and an honor," Parker and Gerard told reporters. In just a few weeks, the Hollywood duo will be live on stage in Oslo Spektrum. Parker is well-known for her role as Carrie in the HBO show Sex and the City," whereas Butler has starred in movies such as  "Phantom of the Opera" and "300."

"Sarah Jessica Parker and Gerard Butler will be exceptional hosts and messengers of peace," says director of the Nobel Institute Geir Lundestad.

Both actors are actively involved in charity work. Parker is a UNICEF ambassador, and Butler is a board member in the organization Artists for Peace and Justice.

"It's a big privilege to be part of this year's Peace Prize concert," says Parker. "I am honored to get to share a stage with such wonderful artists."

Several other international stars will also participate in the concert, including Jennifer Hudson, Seal and Swedish singer Laleh.
