Increased income from farmers' produce

Norwegian farmers' income from the sale of meat, milk, grain and other farm produce has increased by NOK 6 billion over the last ten years.

This is 13 times more than the increase in state farm subsidies in the same period, according to official figures.

These figures help to kill myths about farming, says professor Reidar Almås in Bygdeforskning (Centre for Rural Research).
