SBS sold for 1,7 Billion usd

US-based Discovery Communications has bought SBS Limited from German ProSiebenSat1 .The purchase  includes ownership in TVNorge and Radio Norge. The deal is valued at 1.7 billion dollars or app 9,5 Billion NOK

With the sale, Discovery acquires  SBS's Nordic 12 TV channels in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.  Of the total sale,  TVNorge, the three niche channels Five, Max and Vox and radio channel Radio Norway probably account for a quarter of the value.

Swedish Channel 5 and Channel 9 is also part of the purchase  including  four channels in Denmark and two in Finland.
