Hardanger Folkehøgskule (County College) is located at Lofthus in Hardanger. From here it is only a short distance to the Hardangervidda - the largest high mountain plateau in Northern Europe -, the Folgefonna Glacier and the Hardanger Fjord.
Hardanger Folkehøgskule is a boarding school for students above the age of 17. It has room for 88 students, and every year we welcome students from other European nations, as well as North America.
We run a school which focuses on outdoor activities, whether it be on the soccer field, cross country hiking or skiing, hunting in the mountains or on horseback, - and you will also learn seamanship on the sailing vessel 'Statsraad Lehmkuhl' on a voyage from Norway to the Orkneys.
